I had been in a place of wanting to do more for myself, to pursue passions, nurture creativity, and nourish my soul!

I now have a clearer sense of what I need to do for it to be more comfortable -- get the action on the guitar adjusted, lighter strings, and then pick it up daily! I have so much more confidence in playing.

Allow yourself this invaluable time to be with yourself and other like-minded women, developing a new skill, and caring for your creative spirit!

"I am really glad I did it."

Take the plunge. The teaching is excellent. I think it's the perfect mix of technique and spirit. It's inspiring. When it came to guitar in particular, I was frustrated that I only knew one chord.
When it came to music in general, it was the sense that I had to keep quiet. I left the first class wanting to play and play.

- Liz Brown, Producer

Hi, I'm Stephanie. I am a singer-songwriter and the Founder of Free Spirits Music.

And most of my life, I felt too stupid to learn guitar.

I think I decided this when I was 13, and my very brilliant (but very "bro") guitar teacher went on a rant about harmonic minors vs melodic minors, tritones, and diatonics.

I remember my eyes glazing over and checking out.

"This is not for me," I decided. Too technical. Too much practice. Too hard.

It took me about 10 years to finally let go of my doubt and see myself as a powerful musician.

I'm so moved by the power of a few simple chords. I infuse my heart and my confidence into them, and suddenly... it's art.

And that's why I made this course. I made it for you.

Whether you're learning for fun or a pro musician, this course will get you out of your head and into your heart. And oh, it's designed for straight up beginners.

Yes. If you really don't know A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G... you're STILL in the right place.

I don't ever want you to get stopped. You can do this.

As for me?

I perform in yoga studios and at yoga festivals around the world. I write about transformation.

I've written over 350 songs with my students and I lead an online community of 1200 songwriters who have kicked self-doubt to the curb and discover their own creative process. I also have the incredible opportunity to write songs with kids with cancer, and my team has the warm support of Yoko Ono on that project.

I have come to know myself free, in my own spirit, as an artist -- and I want to teach you to do the same.

Caroline Getz

Hello, I'm Caroline! I'm a singer, guitarist, and songwriter. I'm a big believer in the power of self-expression, and it is my joy to help others find their voices through song.

Outside of teaching, you can find me singing jazz standards and bossa nova at downtown venues such as Zinc Bar (I go by my middle name, Ambrose Getz), or catch my band, Hexual Ceiling, groovin' at places like Rockwood Music Hall and Pianos.

I'm excited to bring the creativity + thrill of making music to each and every person who walks through our studio doors. Can't wait to create with you!!
